Welcome to the Old Douglas County Courthouse!

Exhibits and Collections

A variety of permanent and special exhibits and collections provide a thorough look at the life of Douglas County over the years.  Below you see a very small sample of the interesting displays which will give a much broader view of our story from the earliest settler times to the county's birth in 1870 and its emergence as a modern and dynamic community.
Our current special exhibit celebrates the Sesquicentennial of the founding of Douglas County.

Artifacts and memorabilia spanning the history of the County are on display throughout the year.

This is only a brief sample of what you will see in person on permanent exhibitions.
